Since the murder of George Floyd—an unarmed black man by white Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin—on May 25, all 50 U.S. states, along with countries around the world have held protests and demonstrations demanding justice for Floyd and the countless other innocent lives that have been lost as a result of police brutality.
At ExecSocks we stand against police brutality and racism in all forms, but simply opposing these ideals is not enough. We must put our money where our mouth is in order to truly bring about change. To help in this fight against institutionalized racism, when you sign up for a sock subscription, we will be donating 100% of our sales for the rest of June to a local organization fighting these injustices on the ground.
While we continue to try and reach out to these organizations, we encourage you to make personal donations as well. Take Action Chapel Hill’s Anti-Racist Activist Fund supports activists in Orange, Chatham and Wake counties who are facing criminal charges in the fight against racism (donate here: https://www.takeactionch.com/donations).
